The Continence Management Program

Our Continence Management Program at Orchard Valley at Wilbraham helps residents live free of worry and embarrassment so that they can participate in the activities they enjoy.   The objective for management of incontinence is to prevent complications secondary to urinary and/or fecal incontinence, providing comfort, quality of life, and efficient cost effective care. The Continence Product Package is designed to provide appropriate, high quality products for residents while at the same time providing convenience for the family.

The Continence Product Program Includes:

• Monitoring of urinary tract infections
• Adequate fluid intake
• Monitoring skin integrity
• Supplies to manage incontinence such as: briefs, wipes, cleanser, barrier cream, gloves. Sizing and routine ordering of supplies will be conducted by the Benchmark Wellness Team
